Our philosophy

The care of the vineyards in accordance with nature is a particularly important concern for us. Organic work has been going on since 2008, which was already particularly important to Grandpa Leopold. The grapes are handpicked and the pruning and harvest is guided by the moon phases. We are convinced that our sustainable way of working in the vineyard and cellar produces high-quality wines that reflect our characteristic soil, climate and grape varieties. As we work and rely on nature every day, it is our responsibility to respectfully maintain this “partnership”.

Orientation of the pruning to the moon phases and a soft pruning ensures long-lasting vineyards.

natural greening

A natural greening during the year is important to us – we fertilize only with compost.

BIODIVERSITY

We pay attention to biodiversity in our vineyards such as garlic, carrots, peaches and cherry trees.

PURE NATURE

We don´t use chemical pesitcides and mineral fertilizer at all.

LESS IS MORE

We try to keep the sulfur content well below the limit.

SUSTAINABLE WORK IN THE CELLAR

We use natural or organic yeasts. Sugaring and must concentration is completely omitted.

SOFT PRUNING

Especially with the soft pruning we treat our vineyards carefully, therefore they reach an old age.
